Ta Moko - House of Kiwi - 2009/11

Kia Ora my name is PJ Coombs, I'm of the Ngati Kahangunu blood line and have been involved in the Ta Moko scene since aquiring my first piece from Tohunga Whakairo/Tamoko Riki Manuel in Christchurch/New Zealand(1997). Having been involved in the Christchurch Ta Moko scene has allowed me to travel and meet a wide variety of people from all walks of life and diffrent Cultural back grounds. I began tattooing in 1999 In Wellington. I have travelled to and from Australia tattooing Ta Moko to those that have sought this art form. I have since then returned back to my home town of Hastings opening the House of Kiwi Ta Moko Studios.

Specialising in Ta Moko & Tribal Tattoo, I will be providing a Professional, Sterile and Hygenic practice where we can sit and disuss what meaning and representation of your Tattoo or Ta Moko piece will have. I'll then sketch up a representation of your story using maori motif. We will then draw it onto your body where you can make that decision to continue or not.

My Ta Moko Studio is based in the centre of town with a open plan look. The upstairs studio over looks the street with user friendly atmosphere and music where our valued customers can enjoy The House of Kiwi Ta Moko Studio Experience.
